The Jerusalem District Court on Monday ordered the evacuation of an Ethiopian tent protest site, camped out on a sidewalk near the prime minister’s residence in Jerusalem, according to Israel Radio.

Accepting the petition brought by the Jerusalem municipality, the court ruled that the encampment be evacuated within six days. The Ethiopian anti-racism activists said that they will appeal the decision to the Supreme Court on Tuesday.

Representatives of the encampment called the Jerusalem court decision wrong and not representative of the justice and equality for which they are fighting. They said that they are determined to continue their struggle to eradicate the racism against the Ethiopian community in Israel.
