Abbas to deliver televised remarks after Trump speech
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePalestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas will deliver televised remarks after US President Donald Trump is expected declare Jerusalem the capital of Israel in a highly anticipated speech.
According to senior Palestinian officials, Abbas will “first listen to Trump’s speech and then respond,” Reuters reported.
Trump’s expected announcement brought warnings from leaders in the Mideast and elsewhere that the move could cause violent protests and complicate Mideast peace efforts.
