IDF says Ashkelon residents receiving fake messages ordering them to evacuate

The Israel Defense Forces says residents of Ashkelon have received fake messages from the military telling them to prepare to evacuate the city.
The military stresses that these messages are false and were not sent out by the IDF Home Front Command.
“Please stay up to date on all developments and all statements released by the IDF, Home Front Command, and local governments,” the military says.
