In joint remarks with Jordan king, Erdogan warns embassy move will ‘benefit terrorists’
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Jordan’s King Abdullah II reiterate warnings against Trump’s expected announcement recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
In a joint press conference in Ankara, Erdogan says the move will “only benefit terrorist organizations,” and that “nobody has the right to play with the fate of billions of people out of personal considerations.”
Abdullah says that it’s the Palestinians’ right to “establish an independent state with East Jerusalem as its capital,” underscoring that “there is no other solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict except the two-state solution.”
