Pakistan ruling party, Taliban leader condemn Trump over Jerusalem
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GooglePakistan’s ruling party criticizes US President Donald Trump’s plan to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, saying it will ignite violence in the world.
Raja Zafarul Haq, chairman of the Pakistan Muslim League party, urges speedy pressure on Trump to “refrain from complicating the Palestine issue instead taking steps to resolve it.”
Firebrand cleric Maulana Samiul Haq, known as the “Father of the Taliban,” describes Trump as an “evil man” and urges the Muslim world to stop the US leader from insulting Palestinians.
The suspected mastermind of the 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks, Hafiz Saeed, recently released from house arrest in Pakistan, also condemns Trump’s planned announcement.
