Palestinian official calls to end ‘absurd’ talks with Israel over change in Jerusalem status quo

Former senior Fatah party official Mohammed Dahlan calls for Palestinians to end its “absurd” US-led negotiations with Israel as the status quo of Jerusalem is expected to change with US President Donald Trump’s announcement recognizing Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

“I call for withdrawal from the absurd and endless negotiations with Israel after the principle of inviolability of the status of Jerusalem has been breached,” he posts on Twitter.

“I call for ending all the forms of coordination, especially security coordination, with Israel and USA,” Dahlan says.
