Police arrest three residents of unrecognized Bedouin villages in the Negev, on suspicion of extorting contractors in Ashdod.

The residents threatened the contractors and extorted money from them in a mall in the city, police say.

Police say they have confiscated the suspects’ cars, which they allege were used to carry out the crimes.

The three suspects’ arrests have been extended until next Sunday.
