Sheba Hospital opens new coronavirus critical care unit

The Sheba Medical Center says it is opening a new coronavirus critical care unit, which it has been working on for the past week, in the hospital’s parking garage.

The unit “features over 40 additional beds, advanced technologies and robust
medical capabilities, including orthopedics and a birthing area.”

It was built “in response to the growing numbers of critically ill coronavirus
patients, whose numbers are expected to spike in the coming days.”
