The Hamas organization hanged three men convicted of murder in Gaza, Israel Radio reported on Tuesday.
It is not the first time that the fundamentalist Islamic organization has carried out executions, including of those found guilty of collaboration with Israel.
Ma’an reported that one the men murdered his cousin, one killed a female relative, and the third killed a man who stole his cellphone.
According to a Reuters report, since Hamas seized control of the Gaza Strip in 2007, the organization has executed 14 people.
Under Palestinian law, carrying out a death sentence requires the authorization of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. However, Hamas operates its own independent justice system.
