A man has been badly injured by Israeli settlers during a rampage tonight in West Bank villages near Nablus, Palestinian media reports.
In Qusra, a town south of the city, dozens of settlers are said to have set fire to residents’ homes and two chicken coops.
They beat a 32-year-old man, Zahran Muhammad Shanableh, who is employed in the town, according to WAFA, the Palestinian Authority’s official news agency.
Paramedics with the Palestinian Red Crescent reportedly found the man with a severe head injury.
Settlers also set fire to several homes in Jalud, a smaller village just west of Qusra, according to the reports.

He makes the claim in his latest Truth Social post, which includes footage of a strike in Iran.

Responding to accusations that officers prevented detained protesters from sheltering during a Houthi missile attack on Tel Aviv, police say they transported them to a “safer location.”
This evening, police arrested 17 demonstrators on suspicion of disorderly conduct at Habima Square, while forcibly dispersing a protest against the government and the ongoing war.
Police accuse demonstrators of violating a High Court order handed down just as a crowd began gathering at the square, which forbade police from breaking up any protest in the location with fewer than 600 participants.
Once tonight’s protest exceeded this number, police say they declared it illegal and began dispersing the crowd, leading to clashes. Seventeen protesters were arrested and placed onto a bus near Habima.
During the commotion, protesters and officers received early warning of a missile attack from Yemen’s Houthis.
Detained protesters on the bus urged police to allow them to descend to a large shelter under the public square, however police instead brought them to a nearby building due to “significant congestion leading to the protected area beneath Habima Square.”
“Officers acted swiftly in relocating the bus to a position between buildings and evacuating the detainees to a safer location, all while risking their own lives,” police say in a statement.
They add that “police officers and mounted units were forced to remain outside protected areas, even after the sirens, due to severe congestion at entrances to shelters.”
However footage from tonight shows the protesters in a room that does not appear to be protected, due to its glass windows and doors.

“There is glass here, glass there… there is no security whatsoever,” one of the detained protesters says in the room.
Another detainee accuses police of transporting the group to the building only after sirens began, as opposed to when the early warning was received.
The exact time at which the bus left Habima Square remains unclear and police have not responded to a request for comment on the matter.
The IDF issues an evacuation warning for the Lebanese village of Kfar Hatta, which is located north of the Zahrani River, ahead of airstrikes against Hezbollah.
“Hezbollah’s activities are forcing the IDF to act against it with force. The IDF does not intend to harm you. For your safety, you must evacuate your homes immediately and move at least 1,000 meters away from the village,” warns army spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee.
As the village is located north of the Zahrani River, it had not been included in the IDF’s blanket evacuation warning for southern Lebanon.
Sephardic Chief Rabbi David Yosef brands the High Court of Justice as the “enemy of Judaism,” after its judges ordered police to protect the right to demonstrate, even during wartime.
He lambasts a three-judge panel led by Justice Isaac Amit for obliging law enforcement to allow protests against the government and ongoing war to take place tonight, focusing on the fact that they issued the interim order during Shabbat.
“It’s illegal that in the Jewish state, three judges sit and walk all over the law, and make a decision during Shabbat to force the government to allow them [protesters] to demonstrate,” he says.
The chief rabbi accuses Israel’s justice system of operating on a double standard that favors anti-government protesters — who are largely secular Jews — when it comes to wartime restrictions on public gatherings.
“I don’t think that the value of the demonstrations — holy in their eyes — is more important than the holiness of our Western Wall, and the Western Wall is closed right now,” he says.
“We understand the situation… None of us even dreamed of petitioning the High Court, because we know that if we were to petition the High Court they wouldn’t agree, of course,” he continues.
He asserts that the “High Court is the enemy of Judaism.”
“We will struggle with all our might against the High Court… God willing, at the end of the day, we will be victorious,” he says.
Responding to the remarks, MK Moshe Gafni, chairman of the ultra-Orthodox Degel HaTorah faction, asserts that the chief rabbi should replace Justice Amit as High Court president.
He says the former recognizes the “sensitivity and complexity” of ruling on issues related to “values sacred to the Jewish people.”
Unlike Yosef, critics of the ruling coalition accuse police of enforcing a double standard when it comes to Home Front Command restrictions, which currently limit outdoor public gatherings to 50 people.
While law enforcement regularly breaks up anti-government demonstrations that exceed this limit, non-political gatherings are very rarely dispersed by force.
Argentina’s Foreign Affairs Ministry says it has expelled Iran’s top diplomat as tensions increase between Iran’s theocratic regime and Argentina’s libertarian government, which is closely aligned with the Trump administration.
In a message on X, Argentina’s Foreign Affairs Minister Pablo Quirno said Iran’s Charge D’Affaires, Mohsen Soltani Tehrani, had left the country “in compliance” with a resolution issued Thursday that gave the Iranian diplomat 48 hours to leave the South American country.
Tensions between both nations intensified earlier this week after Argentina declared Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps a terrorist organization. The measure will enable the Argentine government to issue financial sanctions against those conducting business with that branch of Iran’s armed forces and seize any assets they could own in Argentina.
Iran’s Foreign Affairs Ministry replied to the terrorism designation with a statement which said Argentina’s actions amounted to an “unforgivable offense” influenced by the United States.
Security officials overestimated the damage done to Hezbollah’s military capabilities by Israeli forces following the army’s 2024 ground offensive, says Maj. Gen. Rafi Milo, chief of the IDF’s Northern Command, in recordings aired by Channel 12 news.
The senior officer met on Tuesday with a group from Misgav Am after one of the northern kibbutz’s residents, 60-year-old Ofer Moskovitz, was mistakenly killed by IDF artillery shelling last month.
During the meeting, Milo apologizes to residents, takes responsibility, and says the lethal incident “shouldn’t have happened.”
He then admits there is a “gap” between the IDF’s assessment of damage caused to Hezbollah’s offensive capabilities during the 2024 ground operation in southern Lebanon, and the force with which the terror group has been striking Israel’s northern communities in the current war.
“There is a gap between how we finished [Operation] ‘Northern Arrows’ and what we understood and thought, and how suddenly, we still find Hezbollah [active]. What I’m sure is concerning you all is the steep-trajectory [rocket] fire,” Milo says to residents.
He adds that Hezbollah’s rockets are still not being launched in “very, very large amounts” and adds that most of the rockets are aimed at IDF forces.
However, according to the outlet, the IDF shifted its assessment in the wake of Hezbollah’s heavy barrages at Israel over the course of the Passover holiday, which began Wednesday night.
Now, officials reportedly estimate that the terror group has hundreds of launchers and tens of thousands of rockets at its disposal.
In another audio clip from the meeting with residents, Milo casts doubt on whether the joint US-Israeli offensive against Iran will manage to topple the Islamic Republic.
“I assess that this [war] won’t end in some sort of overthrow of the regime; it seems it is still stable despite the upheaval it’s going through. There will probably need to be some sort of agreement,” he says.
The Bnei Brak home of MK Moshe Gafni, the chairman of the ultra-Orthodox Degel HaTorah faction, was damaged by a cluster bomb during an Iranian ballistic missile attack on central Israel early Saturday morning, breaking windows but causing no injuries.
In a statement, Gafni says he spoke with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who inquired after his well-being, following the end of Shabbat. He and his wife had followed Homefront Command instructions, “and went down to the shelter at the time of the [pre-strike] warning and were thus saved.”
“It was absolutely terrible. There was a really serious, unfamiliar noise, but thank God nothing happened,” Gafni said, describing the incident as “a great miracle.”

The Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen take responsibility for this evening’s ballistic missile launch at Israel.
In a statement, the Houthis claim to have targeted Ben Gurion Airport and “vital military targets” in southern Israel with a ballistic missile and several drones.
The IDF said one missile fired from Yemen at Israel fell in an open area, causing no injuries or damage.
The IDF warns that it will bomb the Masnaa Border Crossing between Syria and Lebanon, due to Hezbollah’s use of it for “military activity.”
“Due to Hezbollah’s use of the Masnaa Crossing for military activity and the smuggling of weapons, the IDF intends to strike the border crossing in the near future,” warns army spokesman Col. Avichay Adraee.
Adraee calls on anyone near the crossing to evacuate the area. “Remaining in this area puts you at risk,” he says.
Police prevented detained protesters from taking shelter ahead of a Houthi ballistic missile attack, activists charge, after officers reportedly arrested at least 17 anti-war demonstrators in Tel Aviv.
Footage from tonight shows several detained demonstrators shouting from a bus parked near Habima Square, urging officers to take them to the massive shelter that exists under the plaza.
Instead, police allegedly ordered the bus to leave the area once the missile sirens began, and the cuffed detainees were taken to a room with windows in a nearby building.
Protest organizer Alon Lee Green, one of the detained demonstrators, says police took them to an unprotected space after the siren had already ceased. “All of these police officers broke the law,” he charges.
Another detainee points out that they are surrounded by windows in the building. “In the police’s ‘secure space’ there is glass here, glass there… there is no security whatsoever,” he says angrily.
Meanwhile, hundreds of protesters at Habima Square have descended to the large protected space under the plaza and continued to chant slogans there, deriding police as “criminals” and waving signs against the government.
Police have not yet responded to a request for comment.
Lawyers representing the protesters say 17 arrests have been made tonight in Tel Aviv, however police say they have arrested only 10 individuals so far on suspicion of disturbing public order.

The Israeli military believes that Iran still has more than 1,000 ballistic missiles that can reach Israel, an Israeli Air Force intelligence officer tells Channel 12 news.
“The Iranians have more than 1,000 missiles that are capable of reaching Israel,” says Lt. Col. “Tet,” who leads the research on Iran’s missiles and drones in the Air Intelligence Group, the IAF’s intel unit.
At the start of the war, the IDF assessed that Iran had 2,500 ballistic missiles. Iran has since fired over 500 missiles at Israel, as well as hundreds at other countries in the Middle East, and potentially hundreds of missiles were destroyed in strikes.
Iran’s missile fire on Israel has slowed to around 10-15 missiles a day in recent weeks, down from around 90 on the first day of the war.
Since the start of the conflict, the military assessed that attacks from Iran would continue as long as the war is active, and the rate of missile fire could even increase.
“In all honesty, I assess it will not reach zero [launches a day],” the officer tells Channel 12 news in an interview.
“I think they will continue to launch ballistic missiles. I don’t think it will be significantly more than what we have seen,” he says.
MK Moshe Gafni, the chairman of the ultra-Orthodox Degel HaTorah faction, accuses the High Court of Justice of issuing an illegal ruling, after the court handed down an interim order effectively forbidding law enforcement from forcibly dispersing anti-war protests of less than 600 attendees at Tel Aviv’s Habima Square, and less than 150 attendees in Jerusalem, Haifa and Kfar Saba.
“The High Court judges prove once again a lack of responsibility toward what is happening in the country, alongside a lack of sensitivity to subjects sacred to the Jewish people,” says Gafni.
“In the midst of the Holy Shabbat, they allow an outrageous ruling for a protest against the war just to prove their superiority over the Israeli public. We hope that this behavior by these disconnected judges will vanish from the world, beyond the fact that their decision is contrary to the law,” he adds.
The decision is also condemned by Deputy Communications Minister Yisrael Eichler, a member of the Hasidic Agudat Yisrael faction which, together with Degel HaTorah, comprises the larger United Torah Judaism party.
The court’s ruling, says Eichler, constitutes “a declaration of war against the sanctity of Shabbat and against the tradition of the Jewish people” and the justices “want to turn Israel into a nation like all nations” and are working to “incite citizens against one another in protests against the defensive war against Israel’s enemies.”
“The High Court of Justice judges proved today that even from the abyss it is still possible to descend to the lowest depths of Sheol,” he argues, using a Hebrew phrase for the depths of hell.
The Democrats MK Gilad Kariv accuses the IDF Home Front Command of showing a “deep disregard for fundamental democratic values” over its limitations on wartime demonstrations and calls on members of the anti-government protest movement to take to the streets.
“I very much hope that the protest organizations are working hard on returning to the ‘Black Flag’ protests at intersections within cities across Israel. 50 people and 50 black flags at hundreds of intersections,” he says, complaining that “malls are open,” Hasidic courts are “doing whatever they please” and people are going to the tomb of Rabbi Shimon Bar Yochai in Meron “while only the democratic protest and the protest against being dragged into a war of attrition are silenced.”
Ofer Cassif, the Arab-majority Hadash-Ta’al party’s only Jewish lawmaker, posts a video of himself attending an anti-war protest in Tel Aviv on X, accusing National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s “militia” of having “exerted severe violence against protesters, a blatant violation of freedom of expression and the right to protest.”

Police say they have arrested one demonstrator, however more recent footage shows a bus carrying several detained demonstrators parked near the plaza, including protest organizer Alon Lee Green.
Before officers began to break up the crowd, Green was seen giving an impromptu speech to demonstrators decrying police’s behavior. “The police are again threatening us, as if our demonstration isn’t legal. There is no illegal demonstration,” he shouts through a megaphone.
“We don’t trust this government, not Netanyahu, not Ben Gvir and not Smotrich. They don’t want us to demonstrate, we know this and we are here to say: Enough with the forever war,” he continues.
Israel is preparing to attack Iranian energy facilities but is awaiting a green light from the United States, a senior Israeli defense official says, adding that any such attacks would likely come within the next week.
The comments came after US President Donald Trump issued a 48-hour ultimatum, sharpening focus on whether Washington would back further Israeli military action against Iran.

In a separate statement, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir’s Otzma Yehudit party asserts that the ruling will “endanger the protesters, police and fighters.”
“The Home Front Command does not allow worshipers to show up at the Temple Mount, Western Wall and other holy sites yet the High Court on Shabbat issues another decision that harms the security of officers and citizens,” the party says, accusing the court of “allowing protesters to show contempt for the law just because they are protesting against the state of Israel.”
Are judges who issue such rulings “on Israel’s side?” the party asks.
Despite the court’s ruling, the police are currently dispersing a protest outside Tel Aviv’s Habima theater, according to Hebrew media reports.

The High Court of Justice hands down an interim order obliging police to allow protests in four separate locations tonight, shooting down the army’s proposed framework to allow smaller demonstrations submitted earlier today.
The decision, issued as people gather to protest the ongoing Iran war, effectively forbids police from breaking up a protest of less than 600 people at Tel Aviv’s Habima Square, and less than 150 people in Jerusalem, Haifa and Kfar Saba.
The order applies solely to tonight’s rallies.
In the decision, judges accuse police of selectively enforcing the army’s wartime restrictions, which cap outdoor public gatherings at 50 people.
“Police enforcement of Home Front Command guidelines is carried out against protest demonstrations, but not towards other places and events. This situation is difficult to reconcile,” judges write.
Earlier today, the IDF Home Front Command submitted a framework to the court saying it intends to allow small demonstrations to take place. This included protests of up to 150 people at Habima and 50 people at other locations.
However, the response came hours after the 11 a.m. deadline set yesterday by the court, leaving little time for deliberation and prompting judges to issue this evening’s interim order.
Israel will continue to hit Iran hard, says Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in a video statement released shortly after the end of the Jewish Sabbath.
“After we destroyed 70 percent of its ability to create steel, which is used as the raw material for the weapons used against us,” says Netanyahu, “today we attacked their petrochemical factories.”
“These two things are their money machine, which funds their war of terror against us and against the world.”
“We will continue to hit them, as I promised,” he concludes.
Over the weekend, more than 140 Hezbollah sites in Lebanon were struck by the Israeli Air Force and by ground troops, the military says.
The IDF says the targets included a Hezbollah training camp, weapon depots, rocket launching sites and command centers of the elite Radwan Force. Earlier, the IDF announced bombing several command centers in Beirut.
During ground operations in southern Lebanon, the IDF says, troops killed Hezbollah operatives in close-quarters combat and by directing strikes, as well as captured weapons and located Hezbollah infrastructure.
One strike carried out by the 215th Artillery Regiment hit a Hezbollah command center used by the terror group to launch drones at troops and Israel, the IDF adds.
Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky announces greater security cooperation with Turkey after meeting his counterpart Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul today, as Kyiv seeks to leverage its wartime know-how on the international stage.
Zelensky says that he had agreed “new steps” in security cooperation with the Turkish president, and that teams would finalize the details shortly.
“This applies above all to the areas in which we can support Turkey: expertise, technology and experience,” he writes on Telegram.
Erdogan told Zelensky that Turkey would continue to support negotiations between Ukraine and Russia to end their war, the Turkish presidency says.
Zelensky says that the two leaders discussed cooperation opportunities in joint gas infrastructure projects and joint gas field development.
The IDF Home Front Command says its current wartime guidelines are being extended until Monday night at least, meaning educational activities will remain prohibited in most parts of the country.
By Monday at 8 p.m., another assessment will be conducted by the Home Front Command.
Under the current guidelines, educational institutions can operate, provided there is an adequate shelter that can be reached in time, in some areas of the north, south and West Bank.
A full list of locales can be found on the Home Front Command’s website.
Gatherings of up to 100 people indoors and 50 people outdoors are also permitted, under the same conditions in those areas.
In the rest of the country, educational activities are still prohibited. Gatherings are limited to 50 people, provided a shelter can be reached in time, and workplaces can operate under the same conditions.
An Israeli soldier was killed, and another was seriously wounded, in an incident of so-called friendly fire in southern Lebanon overnight, the military announces.
The slain soldier is named as Sgt. First Class Guy Ludar, 21, of the Commando Brigade’s Maglan Unit, from Yuvalim.
The incident occurred around 3 a.m. during an operation in the southern Lebanese village of Shebaa. The Maglan commandos had raided Shebaa to capture a suspect who was allegedly aiding Hezbollah.
According to an initial IDF probe, during the operation, one soldier thought he identified suspects attempting to flee and opened fire. The gunfire killed Ludar and seriously wounded the other soldier.
The mission was completed, and the suspect was taken to Israel for interrogation.
The military says it is further investigating the circumstances of the incident.

The military says that it investigated the attack from Lebanon and found that “due to a localized malfunction, the launch was not detected and therefore no alert was activated in the city.”

Firefighters say they are working to extinguish a blaze sparked by an Iranian ballistic missile impact at the Neot Hovav industrial zone, south of Beersheba.
“Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters detected a fire and are working to extinguish the fire and conduct searches. As of this time, there are no known injuries and no involvement of hazardous materials have been identified,” the Fire and Rescue Service says.
