IDF: ‘Localized malfunction’ led to lack of sirens as rocket struck Kiryat Shmona

The IDF says a “localized malfunction” led to a rocket striking the northern city of Kiryat Shmona this morning without sirens sounding.
The military says that it investigated the attack from Lebanon and found that “due to a localized malfunction, the launch was not detected and therefore no alert was activated in the city.”
The incident is under further investigation, the IDF adds.
No injuries were caused by the rocket impact, which struck a road, damaging nearby cars and homes.
