Loud explosions heard in Beirut after IDF announces strikes on Hezbollah sites
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleBEIRUT, Lebanon — Loud explosions are heard in Beirut, an AFP journalist says, as the Israeli military said it had begun striking “Hezbollah infrastructure” in the Lebanese capital.
AFP’s correspondent in Beirut heard at least two explosions within half an hour and reported smoke billowing from one of them.
The IDF said on Telegram it “has begun striking Hezbollah infrastructure sites in Beirut.”
Local media reported two strikes on the southern suburbs.
