Following her husband to the microphone in Hostages Square, Ivanka Trump gives a brief address in which she highlights “the strength of every family waiting, praying, and believing… I am in awe by their strengths and conviction in spite of such suffering.”
Speaking on behalf of her father, who is expected here on Monday, she says: “The president wanted me to share, as he has with so many of you personally, that he sees you, he hears you, he stands with you always, always.”
“The return of each hostage is not only a moment of homecoming and relief. It’s a triumph of faith, of courage, and of our shared humanity,” she says. “We pray, and so many people are working so hard, so hard to ensure this coming week is one of healing for you all.”
“God bless you all for standing in solidarity together through this dark chapter,” she concludes. “We’re all praying for Monday and beyond. “
Help us report truthfully on social media
As a multimedia journalist, my job is to take the quality, fact-based journalism produced by The Times of Israel newsroom and make it accessible across every platform — from Instagram posts to podcasts to short-form videos.
This is how many, especially young people, consume news these days. But misinformation is rampant on social media. Our team at ToI produces accurate, responsible short-form reporting on Israel and the Jewish world.
If you believe in the importance of factual social media journalism, please consider joining our reader support group, The Times of Israel Community. Your financial support is essential to sustain responsible multimedia reporting.
