A 7-year-old boy was killed on Thursday after he was hit by a car in Beersheba. Paramedics evacuated the victim to Soroka Hospital in critical condition; doctors pronounced him dead after being unable to save him.

Traffic police opened an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, detaining the driver for questioning.
