Police arrested three foreign left-wing activists in Hebron on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting officers who responded to an illegal protest, Ynet News reported.

Dozens of protesters turned out at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron to demonstrate against the events in the past few weeks.

Several Jewish families occupied a building near the Cave of the Patriarchs complex in Hebron at the end of March, which they claimed they purchased legally. Israeli security forces evicted the families on April 4 because they failed to obtain a permit from the IDF’s Civil Administration.
