Qatar condemns Israeli strikes in meeting with Iran envoy

In a meeting between Qatari Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al Muraikhi and the Iranian ambassador to Qatar, Ali Salehabadi, Doha reiterates its condemnation of Israel’s strikes against Iran’s nuclear facilities, the Qatari foreign ministry writes on X.

The two addressed “the latest developments in the region” and ways to enhance “aspects of bilateral cooperation,” according to the ministry.
Before the meeting, Qatar issued a strong condemnation of Israel’s overnight strikes on the Islamic Republic, calling it “a dangerous escalation” and “a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and security, as well as a clear breach of international law.”
Qatar urged the international community to “act swiftly to halt these Israeli violations.”
