Police block Bnei Brak roads ahead of Haredi protest over arrest of yeshiva student

Police have blocked off major roads in the central Haredi city of Bnei Brak ahead of a protest by the extremist ultra-Orthodox Jerusalem Faction over the arrest of a yeshiva student yesterday.

Jabotinsky Road, which runs from Petah Tikva to Tel Aviv, has been shut down in Bnei Brak, and Route 4 has been shut down in the section between the Mesubim and Em HaMoshavot interchanges, which abuts the city from the east.

The Jerusalem Faction has called on adherents to “make the earth shake” after a Haredi youth was arrested for draft dodging yesterday, as he exited a police station where he was interrogated over an unrelated matter.
