Police say they will disperse mass Haredi protest near Bnei Brak by force

Police tell Haredi anti-draft protesters at the Geha Interchange, at the exit to Bnei Brak from Route 4, that their demonstration is illegal and will be dispersed by force.
“Disruptors are blocking the road,” police say in a statement.
South of there, on Route 4, at the entrance to Givat Shmuel, dozens of Haredi men and boys surround a Haredi soldier, chanting “the neighborhood fuck-up,” as officers intervene to safely escort the soldier away from the crowd, according to reports and footage from the scene.

Other footage from the protest on Route 4 shows Haredi men wearing Holocaust-like yellow stars with the word “Haredi” on it. One man can be seen holding a sign that reads, in English and Hebrew, “It was better to die as a Jew in the Holocaust than to spiritually die in IDF camps.”

The extremist Jerusalem Faction had called on adherents to “make the earth shake” in Bnei Brak after a Haredi youth was arrested for draft-dodging yesterday, as he exited a police station where he was interrogated over an unrelated matter.
