Vienna police say that there is no indication of foul play in the case of the disappearance of an Israeli mother and daughter in Austria.

Markus Dittrich, a spokesman for the Vienna police, tells Austrian news outlets that there is “currently no indication of foul play.”

“The standard procedures for missing persons reports, such as an internal search, hospital inquiries, and the like, have been initiated in cooperation with the Israeli diplomatic mission in Austria,” Dittrich adds.

Mali and Liel Yahalomi have been missing in Vienna since Friday, and did not show up for their scheduled flight home to Israel on Monday night.

Family members tell Hebrew media outlets in interviews that they don’t believe there is any chance that the two women chose to disappear of their own accord, and that there were no ongoing family disputes.
