Israeli Ambassador to the US Gilad Erdan tweets his gratitude to US President Joe Biden over the latter’s support for Israel as it responds to rocket fire from Gaza.

“Thank you @POTUS for your strong message. May the rest of the international community follow your lead and support Israel’s right to defend itself,” he says.

Earlier this week, Erdan tore into the US State Department over a statement in response to violence in Jerusalem, which the envoy claimed equated Israel to Palestinian leadership that incites violence.
