Israelis traveling abroad for Passover urged to be extra cautious amid Iran-linked terror threat

Ahead of the Passover holiday next week, the National Security Council renews its call for Israelis traveling abroad to exercise caution due to the increased threat of Iran-backed terror attacks.
Israelis abroad are advised to stay away from “Passover events that are not secured or that take place in an open area.”
Israelis in “Iran envelope” countries — Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and Gulf states — are advised not to take part in any events, including holiday meals, taking place in Jewish- or Israeli-linked sites.
The National Security Council recommends that Israelis leave and enter Israel via the Ben Gurion Airport, where flights have been severely restricted amid the war with Iran.
Israelis who opt to fly via airports in Jordan or Egypt are advised to do so at the Aqaba or Taba airports, respectively, without staying in those countries beyond what is necessary for the flights.
Nor should Israelis travel to Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula — normally a popular tourist destination — if they are not flying via Taba, the NSC says.
Israelis should refrain from posting real-time details of their travel plans online and entering neighborhoods considered hostile to Israel, according to the NSC.
