Jordan blasts ‘brutal Israeli attack’ in Gaza, without mentioning rescue of hostages
Jordan’s Foreign Ministry slams the “brutal Israeli attack” on the Nuseirat refugee camp, referring to the operation that successfully rescued four hostages held in the central Gaza Strip.
The ministry’s statement says the attack “reflects the systematic targeting of Palestinian civilians, the Israeli persistence in violating international law and international humanitarian law,” without referencing the rescue of the captives.
The statement calls on the international community to “take immediate and urgent action to stop the war crimes committed by Israel in Gaza, and to oblige it, as the occupying power to comply with the rules of international law and international humanitarian law and to stop its senseless war on the Gaza Strip.”
