Jordan slams Netanyahu annexation vow as ‘dangerous escalation’

Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi slams Netanyahu’s annexation promise.

In the Arabic statement, Safadi says: “We condemn Israel’s prime minister’s announcement — his intention to annex illegitimate Israeli settlements and apply sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the northern parts of the Dead Sea — as a dangerous escalation that undermines the foundations of the peace process, and [constitutes] an election move whose price will be the collapse of opportunities to solve the conflict, and will move the region towards more violence and crisis.”
