Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe United States and Israel have temporarily removed Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf from a hit list of top Iranian officials amid efforts to jumpstart peace talks between Washington and Tehran, according to the Wall Street Journal.
Citing US officials, the report says the pair have been removed from the list for 4-5 days as the Trump administration signals openness to diplomatic talks, which the officials say have a low chance of succeeding due to the sizable gaps in the US and Iranian negotiating positions.
