The Labor party will hold primaries ahead of the November election on August 9.

“We call on anyone concerned about the future of the state and politics to join the Labor party, take part in democracy and run in the primaries,” the party says in a statement.

It is not yet clear who will be running against the party’s incumbent leader Merav Michaeli.

Israel will hold elections on November 1.
