The condition of a soldier who was seriously wounded in Sunday’s truck-ramming terror attack in Jerusalem is significantly improved, hospital officials said Thursday.
Four soldiers were killed and 17 were injured in the attack in the Armon Hanatziv neighborhood when a terrorist rammed his truck into a group of soldiers, the majority of them cadets, who were touring the capital. The terrorist, 28-year-old Fadi al-Qadr from Jabel Mukaber, was shot dead at the scene.
“I am pleased to announce a significant improvement in the condition of the soldier who was run over at the Armon Hanatziv [promenade],” a spokesperson for Shaare Zedek Hospital said in a statement.
“She is awake and breathing by herself,” the statement read, noting that she was still listed in serious condition.

Four more injured soldiers are hospitalized at Hadassah Hospital in the capital’s Ein Kerem neighborhood, all of them conscious and communicating with their families and hospital staff.
