Iran ‘no war’ cartoon is Facebook hit
Mana Neyestani’s cartoon shows Iranian and Israeli leaders threatening each other, while their citizens reach out to exchange flowers

As Israelis demonstrated in Tel Aviv on Saturday night against war with Iran, and an Israeli Facebook campaign dedicated to assuring Iranian citizens that their Israeli counterparts do not seek conflict gathered pace, an Iranian cartoonist’s take on the same issue was spreading rapidly across Facebook too.
No War! by Mana Neyestani shows an Iranian and an Israeli leader threatening each other from atop their fortified towers, while below them their respective citizens reach out their hands to exchange flowers.
Neyestani, born in 1973, describes himself an Iranian cartoonist and comic book writer and designer, who works as a freelance cartoonist for the websites “Mardomak” and “Radiozamaneh”.
