Israeli celebrity reportedly arrested on suspicion of murder; identity under gag order

Police reportedly arrested a woman who is prominent in the entertainment world on suspicion of murder, in connection with the death of a man in central Israel this past week.
She is one of several suspects to be detained as part of the investigation.
The identities of both the victim and the suspects have not been made public due to a court-issued gag order.
According to Channel 12, the individual is a prominent model.
The high-profile suspect had previously been embroiled in an international probe into “moral offenses,” the network reported, an investigation that involved Israeli police, several Western European police forces and Interpol.
According to an Israel Police statement, the incident, which is still under investigation, took place on October 15 in the central city of Petah Tikva.
A court has extended the remand of the detained suspects twice so far, according to Channel 12, as police continue to investigate the incident.
Shai Roda and Assaf Gonen, who represent some of the suspects in the case, said that “their clients are providing a full version of events and strongly deny the serious suspicion that they are involved in the man’s murder.”
Police also said that the court has extended the gag order on the case, which will remain in effect until November 14.
“At this stage, due to investigation reasons, there is no further comment on the subject,” the police spokesperson said.
