Biden speaks again to Netanyahu, says White House

US President Joe Biden just got off the phone with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the White House says, following the second call the two leaders have held since the American commander-in-chief visited the region last week.
The White House says it will issue a readout shortly. Netanyahu’s office has yet to comment.
Biden also spoke earlier today with Pope Francis, and condemned the Hamas onslaught, stressed the need to protect civilians in Gaza and the need to prevent further regional escalation, the US readout from that conversation says.
