US President Joe Biden held a phone call earlier this evening with Judith and Natalie Raanan after they were released by Hamas following two weeks in captivity, the White House says.

Biden “relayed that they will have the full support of the US government as they recover from this terrible ordeal,” the White House adds.

The US president held an earlier call with other members of the Raanan family as well.
