Defense Minister Gallant to issue ‘special statement’ at 8:40 p.m.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant will issue a “special statement” at 8:40 p.m., his office says in a brief statement.
There are no further details on the topic of the statement, but it comes days after Gallant was set to hold a televised press conference in which he was widely reported to be planning to call for an immediate halt to the coalition’s bid to overhaul the judiciary.
The Thursday statement was postponed at the request of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
