Erdogan says he’ll discuss Israeli ‘massacres’ at UN

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan says he will raise the subject of Israel’s “massacres” in Gaza at the UN General Assembly and expresses hope that wider recognition of Palestine will speed efforts for a two-state solution, in comments before departing for New York.

Speaking to reporters, Erdogan also says he will discuss cooperation on trade and the defense industry with US President Donald Trump. He says he will meet Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa during his trip.
