Explosion reported near Iran Guards commander Soleimani’s tomb on anniversary
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleIranian state media reports an explosion near the cemetery in the southern city of Kerman during a ceremony held to mark the 2020 killing of Iran’s top commander Qassem Soleimani. He was assassinated in a US drone attack at Baghdad airport.
State media gives no further details.
The explosion that occurred on the road leading to ‘Gulzar Shahadai Kerman’ (the graveyard where Qassem Soleimani is burried) was related to several gas canisters that exploded, nobody was hurt and nothing special happened.
