The Israel Defense Forces says fighter jets and drones carried out a series of strikes against Palestinian Islamic Jihad sites in the Gaza Strip over the last few hours.

The sites include six rocket and mortar launching positions, a military post, and a compound used by the terror group to potentially carry out an anti-tank guided missile attack on the border.

According to the IDF, two of the Islamic Jihad rocket launch sites are located in the Zaytun Quarter neighborhood of Gaza City, “in close proximity to the Al-Emam Al Shafaa school.”

“These rocket launch sites were also used to fire rockets from the Gaza Strip toward Israel during Operation ‘Guardian of the Walls’ in May 2021 and Operation ”Breaking Dawn’ in August 2022,” the IDF adds.

The IDF also publishes footage showing the strikes against the rocket launch sites.
