Jordan evacuating Aqaba airport due to ‘credible threat,’ US embassy says

Jordan is evacuating the King Hussein International Airport and seaport in the Red Sea resort town of Aqaba “due to a specific and credible threat,” says the US Embassy in the kingdom.
The embassy strongly advises US citizens to avoid travel to both sites, and to refrain from traveling to military bases in Jordan.
Aqaba sits adjacent to the Israeli Red Sea resort city of Eilat.
Two US troops were killed in an Iranian attack on a US base in Jordan on Friday, and one soldier remains missing.
