The Jordanian military says three ballistic missiles launched by Iran at the kingdom were intercepted.

“The interception and shootdown operation resulted in no casualties or material damage,” a Jordanian military source says, according to the official Petra news agency.

Earlier, Jordan said it shot down five Iranian drones.

Iran has targeted Jordan several times in recent days amid an escalation in the conflict with the United States.
