The Palestinian Red Crescent medical service says two Palestinians are killed during clashes with Israeli troops in the Balata refugee camp in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

In a statement carried by Palestinian media outlets, the service adds that seven more are wounded.

In clips published by Palestinian media, gunfire can be heard across the camp.

There are no immediate reports of Israeli injuries.

Israeli troops have been conducting frequent arrest raids in Palestinian cities, often coming under fire by local gunmen.
