Republican lawmaker on Trump shooting: ‘Joe Biden sent the orders’
Republican House member Rep. Mike Collins of Georgia lays the blame on US President Joe Biden for the attempted assassination of Donald Trump.
“The Republican District Attorney in Butler County, PA, should immediately file charges against Joseph R. Biden for inciting an assassination,” says Collins, a freshman member of Congress from a district east of Atlanta who has a history of provocative social media statements.
“Joe Biden sent the orders,” he writes in another tweet, sharing a quote from Biden who said he wanted to “put Trump in a bullseye.” The remark referred to his desire to beat the GOP candidate in the election.

Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, who has been identified as a potential vice presidential running mate for Trump, says on X that the violence was “not just some isolated incident. The central premise of the Biden campaign is that President Donald Trump is an authoritarian fascist who must be stopped at all costs. That rhetoric led directly to President Trump’s attempted assassination.”
Today is not just some isolated incident.
