Rocket siren triggered in Metula on Lebanon border

Emanuel (Mannie) Fabian is The Times of Israel's military correspondent

Incoming rocket sirens are sounding in the northern town of Metula, close to the Lebanon border.

The IDF says it is looking into the cause of the siren.

The alert comes amid repeated rocket and missile attacks by Hezbollah and allied Palestinian terror factions from southern Lebanon on northern Israel.

Separately, the Hezbollah-affiliated al-Manar outlet reports that IDF positions on the border were attacked from Lebanon, and that Israel responded with artillery shelling.
