Violence erupts as journalist’s casket emerges from Jerusalem hospital
Violence erupts at a Jerusalem hospital as the casket containing the body of Shireen Abu Akleh emerges ahead of burial.
Images aired on Palestine TV show Abu Akleh’s coffin nearly falling to the ground as police grab flags from the crowd around the procession.
Police say hundreds of people began rioting and throwing rocks prior to the start of the funeral, and that officers began dispersing the violent persons to allow the funeral to move forward.
