As Iranian negotiators met with representatives of Western powers in Geneva on Friday, the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei tweeted a photo showing Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and his subordinates across the table from their international counterparts with the title “Our negotiators are children of the revolution.”

The Iranian delegates are shown in color, while the Western delegates, headed by EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, are blurred and in black and white.

In the top right of the photo is a caption which reads, “Children of Revolution: No one should consider our negotiating team as compromisers… These are the children of revolution.”

“No one should belittle an officer doing their job,” the wording continues. “We strongly support our diplomacy team.”
