Anti-Netanyahu protesters rally across Israel for 36th straight week
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleAnti-Netanyahu protesters rally across Israel, the 36th week of mass demonstrations against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his indictment on graft charges and handling of the coronavirus pandemic.
The main demonstrations are being held outside the Prime Minister’s Residence in Jerusalem and Netanyahu’s private home in the coastal city of Caesaria.
Several hundred demonstrators are gathered in each of the locations. Smaller protests are taking place at highway overpasses and junctions around the country.
In Herzliya police say they arrested an 18-year-old suspect for allegedly spraying a demonstrator with tear gas, marking the 13th time this has occurred since the protests began, according to the Haaretz daily.
