East Jerusalem man jailed for plotting shooting attack on Israelis

An East Jerusalem resident is sentenced to 3.5 years in jail for planning a shooting attack against Israelis.

The Jerusalem District Court hands down the sentence as part of a plea bargain with 26-year-old Muhammad Abasi, Ynet reports.

Police say Abasi also has a history of throwing stones and firecrackers at Israeli cars, and of social media posts praising attacks on Israelis.
