IDF: Iron Dome missile accidentally downed Israeli drone during Gaza operation
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleThe Israel Defense Forces confirms accidentally downing one of its own drones during the 11 days of fighting against Hamas in Gaza.
The military says the small reconnaissance drone, known as a Skylark, was hit with an interceptor from the Iron Dome missile defense system.
The incident is being investigated, the IDF adds, without giving further details.
