Following the sirens that sounded a short while ago in the northern border communities of Avivim and Yir’on, the IDF says it identified a “suspicious aerial target” before later losing contact with it.

The statement implies that the military was no longer able to track the apparent drone on its surveillance systems, possibly after it left the monitored area, or that it fell.

The incident has since concluded, the military says, as an immediate threat is no longer detected. No injuries were reported.
