In their phone call earlier this evening — their first since the outbreak of the Gaza war — Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Russian President Vladimir Putin that Israel “will not stop until it destroys the military and governmental capabilities of Hamas,” the premier’s office says.

Netanyahu also “made it clear that Israel was attacked by vile and cruel murderers and has gone to war determined and united,” his office adds.
