Israeli politicians banned from Temple Mount, says acting police chief

The police intend to prevent any attempts by politicians to access the Temple Mount, Acting Police Chief Bentzi Sau says.

“There’s a cycle [of violence] we are looking to stop and in order to do that we have the authority to limit the access of Knesset members, whether Jewish or Arab.

His statement comes after PM Netanyahu ordered this week that MKs and ministers be barred from the site.
