Knesset speaker: After extended uncertainty, ‘time to mend the rifts’
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleSpeaking at the national torch-lighting ceremony at Mt. Herzl, Knesset Speaker Yariv Levin acknowledges that Israel has seen “a long period of uncertainty and instability” after four inconclusive election campaigns.”
He says it is “time to mend the rifts… Even when our opinions clash, we are still two sides of the same coin, one people.”
He also gives a statement in Arabic, saying that “this holiday is for all Israelis.”
