Kushner meets with Egyptian president to discuss Gaza ceasefire
Add ToI as a Preferred Source on GoogleUS President Donald Trump’s envoy and son-in-law Jared Kushner talked with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sissi today about the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire, Sissi’s spokesperson says.
The meeting in the Mediterranean city of El-Alamein “emphasized the need for all parties to fulfill their obligations under the Gaza Strip ceasefire agreement” reached in October 2025, says spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy in a statement.
Earlier a Hamas official told AFP that a meeting is being arranged between the Hamas negotiating delegation, the Board of Peace’s high representative for Gaza Nickolay Mladenov, and US officials during Kushner’s visit to Egypt this week, to discuss obstacles related to the agreement.
