Netanyahu discusses Saudi normalization effort with Erdogan after Turkish leader voices support

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discusses Saudi-Israel normalization efforts with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan during their first-ever meeting near UN headquarters.

Both leaders agree to coordinate mutual visits in the near future, according to Netanyahu’s office.

The leaders also discuss advancing ties in trade and energy, says Israel.

According to the Turkish readout, the leaders discuss the development in Israeli-Palestinian relations.

Erdogan tweeted out pictures of the meeting, expressing hope that “our consultations be beneficial for our country and region.”
